Apple Pay gains 27 more US card issuers including PNC’s Global Investment Servicing

Apple on Friday added another 27 names to the list of U.S. card issuers supporting Apple Pay, most notably expanding support for PNC cards to the bank’s Global Investment Servicing division.

UN high commissioner on human rights throws weight behind Apple in San Bernardino case

Apple predicted to increase quarterly dividend up to 10%, share buybacks up to $50B

Apple will revisit its capital return program in April, and investment firm Piper Jaffray believes the company will use the opportunity to increase both its quarterly dividend payout and share buyback allotment.

San Bernardino shooter’s iPhone may hold evidence of ‘dormant cyber pathogen,’ DA says

In an amicus brief filed with a California court on Thursday, San Bernardino District Attorney Michael A. Ramos intimates an iPhone used by terror suspect Syed Rizwan Farook, and later seized by law enforcement officials, might contain evidence of a “dormant cyber pathogen” threatening the county’s data infrastructure.

Apple posts letter from San Bernardino survivor’s husband as Amazon, Google, Microsoft, more offer support

As part of Apple’s legal battle with the FBI, the company on Thursday posted to its website a letter in support written by Salihin Kondoker, husband of San Bernardino shooting survivor Anies Kondoker. Separately, more big tech companies like Amazon, Google and Microsoft offered support in a joint amicus brief.

Law enforcement groups, San Bernardino victims file in support of government in Apple vs FBI row

After Avago merger, Broadcom to axe 1,900 jobs worldwide

Apple supplier Broadcom Ltd., n&acuteee Broadcom, has plans to cut 1,900 jobs globally in a restructuring effort that comes one year after the chipmaker was acquired by competitor Avago for $37 billion.

Oculus founder says no Mac support coming until Apple builds ‘good’ system with better graphics

Apple, Inc makes rapid progress on new Campus 2 Visitor Center, Phase 2 R&D buildings

Phase 2 of Apple’s ambitious Campus 2 construction project is now well underway, with new testing workshops and facilities rising for research and development large enough for vehicle-size innovation work. Located between Phase 2 and the main “Spaceship Ring,” Apple’s new subterranean Theater and Visitor Center is also nearly complete.
