Intel launches new Kaby Lake chips suited for Apple’s MacBook Pro, iMac

Intel has rounded off its Kaby Lake processor line with new quad- and dual-core high-performance chips for mobile and desktop, with some of the new offerings suitable for a future iMac and Mac Pro refresh, though it’s unlikely the just-refreshed MacBook Pro will see Kaby Lake in the short term.

‘Super Mario Run’ App Store purchases exceed reported 3% guesstimate, Apple says

ConnectSense Bluetooth Extender lets you control BLE Apple HomeKit accessories away from home

Without a nearby Apple TV or iPad configured as a “Home Hub,” Bluetooth Low Energy HomeKit accessories cannot be controlled remotely. But a new HomeKit-certified Bluetooth-to-Wi-Fi bridge from ConnectSense coming in 2017 aims to address that shortcoming.

TMSC on track for volume production of 7nm chips for iPhone, iPad in 2018

Apple chip manufacturer TSMC is reportedly on schedule to receive the first designs for chips using the 7nm FinFET process in the second quarter of 2017, paving the way for new power-sipping A-series processors for future iPad and iPhone models.
