OWC partners with Acronis to protect your backups from ransomware attacks

By news@appleinsider.com (Amber Neely) OWC has announced a new partnership with Acronis, bringing Acronis True Image software to OWC storage solutions.Acronis True Image OEM software is designed to protect users’ backup data and recovery from devastating attacks. It does this by monitoring a user’s system for ransomware and cryptojacking attacks in real-time, utilizing AI-enhanced anti-ransomware technology.By monitoring a user’s system, the software learns to understand typical behavior, allowing it to pick up on patterns that may signal hostile actions. Apple donating $1 for every Apple Pay transaction in celebration of Earth Day

By news@appleinsider.com (AppleInsider Staff) Apple on Wednesday announced plans to celebrate Earth Day with an Apple Pay donation program benefitting longtime environmental initiative partner Conservation International.Apple in an email to Apple Pay users said it will donate $1 to Conservation International for every transaction made through its various storefronts, including Apple.com, the Apple Store app and brick-and-mortar Apple Stores. The promotional period is live and runs through April 22.Founded in 1987, Conservation International is an organization that seeks to protect the environment through fieldwork and cooperation with corporations. According to the email, the group has helped protect more than six million square kilometers of land and sea across more than 70 countries….
