TSMC gearing up for iPhone 17 A19 chip production with 2-nanometer test

Since 2022, TSMC has been planning to mass produce chips using a 2-nanometer process by 2025. The schedule would effectively make the A19 chip inside the iPhone 17 Pro the first of its kind to use the process.Apple’s famously long production schedules for its extremely complex supply chain means that companies making components need to work early to get their processes in line. Piper Sandler raises Apple target price on promise of AI

A HomePod helped alert homeowners to it. [CSFD]On June 26th at 4:43 a.m, the Colorado Springs Fire Department was called out to attend a housefire. However, on arrival, they discovered a fire in the kitchen had already been extinguished by the homeowners.In a video posted to Facebook, the CSFD shows security footage from inside the room, showing that the fire was caused by the owner’s dog. Apple looks to India for iPads and AirPod charging cases

Now local publication Benzinga says that the company plans to expand Indian manufacturing into other devices.Reportedly, Apple wants to build the iPad in India, in part to benefit from the government’s initiatives to attract more manufacturing to the country.
