On the eve of Apple’s Sept. 12 iPhone event, last-minute rumors and an iOS 11 GM leak hinted at “iPhone 8” details, as well as the device’s troubled history. In a pair of separate surprises, the company also launched new high-end Beats headphones, and was rumored to be pursuing rights to the James Bond franchise.
