Surprising rumor says new HomePod will get high-quality OLED screen

But Chinese display firm Tianma is said to have already got the exclusive order, and will be making OLED screens.According to Seoul Economic Daily, the company is believed to be planning screens of between 6 inches and 7 inches, and using the low-temperature polycrystalline silicon (LTPS) version of OLED. Apple sued over 2022 dropping of CSAM detection features

By news@appleinsider.com (Charles Martin) A victim of childhood sexual abuse is suing Apple over its 2022 dropping of a previously-announced plan to scan images stored in iCloud for child sexual abuse material.Apple has retained nudity detection in images, but dropped some CSAM protection features in 2022.Apple originally introduced a plan in late 2021 to protect users from child sexual abuse material (CSAM) by scanning uploaded images on-device using a hashtag system. It would also warn users before sending or receiving photos with algorithically-detected nudity.The nudity-detection feature, called Communication Safety, is still in place today. Analysis: Apple Vision Pro sells well, but needs more content faster

While 500,000 units seems small compared to current iPhone or Mac sales, it’s impressive for a first, albeit expensive, foray into VR.In terms of gross revenue, the Apple Vision Pro is projected to bring in as much in its first 11 months as the proposed cost of a new state-of-the-art sports stadium currently being built in Las Vegas. Third-party controllers may bring more games to Apple Vision Pro

The company is also considering an Apple Pencil-like “wand” controller as well.VR hand controller support could revitalize the software market for the Apple Vision Pro.Bloomberg reports that a future update to visionOS will bring support for third-party hand controllers, including Sony’s PlayStation VR2 controllers. Apple has also reached out to third-party developers in an effort to bring more games to the Apple Vision Pro, with support for controllers as an inducement.Traditional game ontrollers used with the Xbox and PlayStation are currently supported in the Apple Vision Pro, but only for Apple Arcade games. Bringing support for VR controllers, and encouraging developers to support more VR games for the platform, would likely increase sales of Apple’s headset.
