My iphone 4S is going to stay on 7.0.6 unless anyone has a particularly compelling reason I should go up.
I had left my mini alone, also, because I’ve read it’s easier to keep the ecosystem happy if my iDevices are both the older OS…
But. I want to put MS Office on my ipad and it requires at least 7.1 so I guess I’ll have to upgrade to 8.3…
So, what exactly happens when my iPad is 8 and my phone is still 7?
I heavily rely on the cloud sync for my calendar, for example…

By Bollockser I don’t trust Garageband to record live audio without giving me the damned “Disk Is Too Slow” error, even with loads of RAM and a brand new SSD.
Thus, I record with a little 3rd party app, and then drag and drop my sound files into garageband to mix them and apply effects and export the whole thing as a single sound file.
In iLife 11 and previous versions of GB, when I drag and drop an audio file into a track in garageband, I could butt each track up against the beginning of the file – thus, the beginning of each track was in perfect alignment at 0:00.
LO AND BEHOLD Apple threw me a loop when I upgraded to Garageband X: when I drag and drop sound files into a garageband track, they will now go back before they playhead and you can push them into negative time.
NO GOOD. I need each track in perfect sync.
HOW DO I SNAP TO THE BEGINING OF THE DOCUMENT AT 0:00?

By SweetMystery Take note of usage and put phone in sleep mode, wait for 5-10 minutes and see if usage has increased. I don’t know if this is normal or this should be a concern since it means the phone is not really “Asleep” in sleep mode.
By imac abuser I just got the new MacBook Pro 13″ Retina w/ 128GB. I love the MacBook however what is up with the 128GB how are you supposed to live with that and not be 75% full…
I do have the new 27″ iMac 5K with 3TB fusion drive, 32 GB of ram and 4gb of video and Quad-Core i7 4.0 ghz. That thing is a beast.
I wanted to get the new MacBook but decided besides the design it sucks so I went MacBook Pro because it has connections and things.
I thought hmmm I can get a 256GB SDXC class 10 card and slip in there for more memory. However I get the card and the slot only takes the card half way. That’s not going to work… So I’m going to send that back.
I feel like I have this great laptop that’s limited by a ***** small HD. How do we survive with a nice budget laptop that isn’t a fancy netbook???

My MacBook Air mid 2011 just feels a bit sluggish when going into expose and performing other tasks. Maybe there’s something going on in the backend or maybe it’s just showing its age? I am running Mavericks by the way, Yosemite was on it but just felt too slow on my MacBook.
By EricaV I’m running OSX 10.9.5 on my mbp and need a reliable program to convert incompatible video files (such a .mod and others) to a mac compatible format.
I mostly just need to be able to play videos, but anything that could covert to imovie would be awesome.
Please help ! I feel like it’s a crap shoot trying these random programs online- trial version doesn’t work, nickel and diming you etc. etc.

Anyone else playing? Mine is now in full cruise control and seems to be killing foes nonstop since yesterday afternoon. I’m approaching half a million coins at the moment.
